Sculpture is for the beginner interested in three dimensional applications within the arts. Basic concepts of 3D art and design are investigated via problem-solving projects dealing with the organization of space and form using a variety of materials, processes and tools. Students will learn reductive and additive sculpting methods through the use of clay, wood, cardboard, fiber as well as found objects. Students will learn how to manipulate material, structure, function and context to create meaning.
